My favorite beach in Dubai is Kite Beach. Here you can rent SUP-boards, go kayaking, play beach volleyball, beach tennis and do kite surfing, as well as under fun water activities.
They have several small restaurants and changing rooms facilities.
You can rent all kinds of equipment close to where the restaurants are. Also look for a red tent - that's where you can rent various water sports equipment.
The beach is quite long so it never gets cramped, and you can easily find a calm spot to read a book or just enjoy sun bathing.
